Agriculture Universities in India
The land grant pattern of State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in India is modeled on the U.S. system, emphasizing a threefold mission: teaching, research, and extension. SAUs are state-specific institutions that provide practical agricultural education, conduct regionally relevant research, and transfer innovations directly to farmers.
